Francis Ford Coppola’s war epic Apocalypse Now is one of my favorite films. This is a very intense film that takes you on a journey in the Vietnam War. The film follows a U.S. Army officer serving in Vietnam who is sent to assassinate a renegade Colonel who is leading his men and a local tribe as if he were a god. The cast is led by Martin Sheen, Marlon Brando and Robert Duvall. Apocalypse Now also has some amazing cinematography. The film does a terrific job at showing us the brutalities of war and the psychological effects it can have on a person. I highly recommend this film.
